Billy Joe Johnson

Billy Joe Johnson , 74, of Mt. Sterling passed away on October 2, 2021, at the Grant Medical Center following a brief illness.

Billy was born July 25, 1947, in London, Ohio to the late John and Mae Johnson. Billy had worked as a farm hand on a family farm for most of his adult life and it was work he loved. He also enjoyed fishing in his spare time.

Along with his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his wife Dianna Faye Johnson in 2012, sisters, Marie Campbell, Flora Buckner, Margaret McCallister, Viola Johnson and Loulabelle Estelle, and brothers, John Jr., Ralph, Eugene, Charles Johnson, and a stepson Robert Bellar.

Survivors include his stepchildren, Ralph (Pebbles) Bellar, Jr. and Diane Johnson; grandchildren, Amanda, Sarah, Mark, and Anthony Bellar, Loretta (Michael) Wilson, Lisa (Abraham) Velasquez, Cody Little, Michael, Ralph, and Heather Colter, several great-grandchildren, and his many dear friends.

A funeral will be held at 5pm on October 9, 2021, at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3pm to the start of service .
