Brenda Kay (Pauley) Smith

Brenda Kay Smith, 68, of Washington CH passed away December 5, 2024, at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.

Brenda was born August 31, 1956, in Washington CH to the late Robert and Betty (Self) Pauley. She was a member of the Miami Trace High School Class of 1974. Brenda loved water including time swimming or relaxing on the beach. She enjoyed shopping trips and time spent crafting along with her granddaughter, Kayla.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by brother Bill Pauley and by an infant brother, Gary Pauley.

Survivors include her husband, Brian Smith; her sons, Ty (Chasity) Wilson, and Jay Wilson; stepchildren, Nathan (Mary Ellen) Smith and Nick Smith; grandchildren, Kayla Wilson and Vanessa Smith; and several step grandchildren; brothers, Jeff (Dee) Pauley, Butch (Vicki) Pauley, and Rodger (Janet) Pauley; sisters-in-law, Shirley Pauley, Corby (Christopher) Carnell, Kathy (Michael) Kara, and brother-in-law Donald Smith. She also leaves behind many extended family members and special friends, including her K-9 fur baby, Gertie.

A funeral will be held at 11am on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington CH with Pastor Danny Dodds officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 8th from 6 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Fayette Regional Humane Society.
