Carolyn Lee (Brannon) Smith

Carolyn L. Smith, 73, of Washington Court House went to be with her Lord and Saviour Sunday, September 29, 2013 at her residence.
She was born December 8, 1939 in Washington C.H. to the late Phillip and Doris (Whaley) Brannon. Also preceding her in death were adoptive parents, Clarence and Louise Lindsey.
Carolyn, known as “Big C”, retired as a Corrections Officer from Orient P.C.I.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Dennis; daughter, Carol Overton, Tina M. (Gary) Joseph and Cindy Stroup; son, Joseph A. Detty Jr. and friend Dolly Smith; stepson, Willie (Tanya) Smith; sisters, Debbie (Brian) Finney and Sue Johnson; brothers, Butch and Preston Lytle; 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; special pets Gizzy, Molly and Milo, her dog in heaven.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Wellman-Kinzer & Godorhazy Funeral Home. Pastor Todd Maurer officiating. Interment to follow at Highlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
