CHARLES EDWIN DERREBERRY, age 79, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2026 at Copper Knoll Health & Rehabilitation Center.

He was born on August 9, 1946 in Andrews, North Carolina to the late Guy and Hazel (Hughes) Derreberry. He was a graduate of Washington High School. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was an engineering mechanic for American Metal Buildings in Jamestown, Ohio.

He was a faithful member at the Worldwide Church of God in Waverly, Ohio. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and going on cruises with his wife. His daughter described him as being “ornery” and was always causing mischief!

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his second wife, Janice (Harper) Derreberry; brother, Bill Derreberry; and great-nephew, Skylar Derreberry.

Survivors include his children, Thomas Derreberry, and Mindy Derreberry and her fiancé, Jimmy Kennedy; grandchildren, Michael Clift, Nathan (Paola) Wesley, and Timothy Wesley; favorite nieces, Becky (Tim) McMahon, and Chasidy Derreberry; and the mother of his children, Lana Kay (Lyle) Coffman. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
