Charles Everett Gilmore, 87, of Washington Court House passed away at his home on September 22, 2024.
Charles was born July 26, 1937, in Meigs County, Ohio to the late Charles D. and Leola (Bolin) Gilmore. He had worked for many years as a purchasing agent for River City Truck Parts.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carol Gilmore, a daughter-in-law, Susan Gilmore, son-in-law, Jim Asbury, grandson, Charlie Gilmore, and a great grandchild, Todd Bennett, and one great great granddaughter, Evelyn Gilmore.
Survivors include his wife, Viginia with whom he shared nearly 70 years of marriage; his children, Rebecca Asbury of Washington CH, Kathy Moore of Washington CH, Everette Gilmore (Linda Gilkey) of Middleport, and Steven Gilmore of Washington CH; 9 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren, sister, Edna Nance of Pomeroy; as well as his many friends.
A funeral is planned for 1pm on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the Bloomingburg Presbyterian Church in Bloomingburg, Ohio with Pastor Tom Knauff officiating. Burial will follow in the Bloomingburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 11am until the start of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Bloomingburg Presbyterian Church, 27 Wayne Street, Bloomingburg, Ohio 43106.
