Charles David “Doodle” Ward , 66, of Washington CH passed away on January 6, 2022, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Charles was born June 22, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio to the late George and Mabel (Johnson) Ward. He lived in the area all his life. He enjoyed going to car shows to check out the old cars. He was a mechanic and operated a local tow company. Charles loved tinkering with cars all the time including both engine and body work.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Carolyn Queen, Janet Cane, Henry Ward, and Joe Ward.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Mae (Jones) Ward, whom he married November 30, 1974; children, Melody (Dwight) Fox, Anna (Tommy) Hodge, and Charles Jr. (Kristina) Ward, all of Washington CH; grandchildren, Skylar Fox, Joshlyn Fox, Michael Ward, Shyann Bartruff, Emily Stroud, and Connor Ward; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Melvin (Julie) Ward and Danny (Brenda) Ward; his K-9 son, Chevy Elvis Ward, and his many friends.

A service will be held at 1pm on January 11, 2022, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Dodds officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 10th from 5pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
