Charles Albert Wyatt II , age 88, of Washington CH passed away January 31, 2017 at the Mount Carmel Medical Center, where he had been a patient for a short time.
Charles was born on June 12, 1928 in Fayette County to the late Charles Sr. and Sarah Lamb Wyatt. He had lived in this area all of his life and was a graduate of Washington Senior High School. He was a truck driver for Midland Grocery. He enjoyed watching thoroughbred racing, and was known to do some fishing in years past. He also achieved the status as a Golden Eagle (Life Member) of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jeffrey Scott Wyatt, husband of granddaughter, Steven “Clayton” Frye; and 10 brothers and sisters.
Surviving family includes his wife, the former Donna Lee Long, whom he married in 1951; his children, Charmaine (Jack) Starr, Charles “Butch” (Dixanna) Wyatt III and Anne (Ray) Fannin, all of WCH; grandchildren, Mindy Frye, Jamie (Todd) Keaton, Denise (Nate) Vogt, Sarah Mackowiak, Rebecca (Adam) Wyatt-Buckner and Corey Patton; great grandchildren, Maddie Frye, Jackson and Aubrey Keaton, Donna Vogt, Matthew Mackowiak and Lindsey Buckner; brother, Frank ( Phyllis) Wyatt of Lebanon; brother-in-law, James Runnels; sister-in-law, Daisy Wyatt; as well as extended family and a host of friends. He also leaves behind his dear friend Tippy the cat.
Services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday February 7, 2017 at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor John Pfeifer officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11am until the time of service.
