Connie Ingram

Connie Ingram passed away on 7/27 at home after a long battle with extended illnesses. Her family was there by her side as she crossed over to meet her Lord. She is survived by her life partner of 32 years April Blanton. She is also survived by her daughter Misty Christman of Gahanna, her son Everett Christman also of Gahanna and daughter Mendy Bryant (Melissa) of Gahanna and a special grandson Hunter Bryant. Her parents Myrtle Knisley and Harold Knisley from Washington Court House preceded her in death. She recently lost her sister Sheila McNeal, but is survived by her sister Nancy Johnson (Douglas) of Grove City and her brother Raleigh Ingram of Frankfort. She leaves behind special friends Helga Malone and Ana Fischer of Washington Court House and several beloved nieces and nephews. Connie loved spending time as a seamstress in her younger years where she could make her own clothes, wedding dresses and Halloween costumes. She was a vibrant soul full of life and she really thrived once she realized her calling in life as a Registered Nurse. Connie spent her career taking care of patients in Washington Court House at the ER for many years. She worked at Doctors Hospital and Grant Trauma unit for a time before stepping into administrative role as Director of Nursing at Chillicothe Nursing and Rehab. It was especially satisfying for her there as she was able to work alongside her daughter Misty there at that facility for a number of years. She retired in 2014. Whether at work or home, she advocated for people. She was sensitive to homeless and gave generously to shelters and also face to face deliveries of care packages to homeless encampments in Southern Ohio. She loved to drop off donations to blessing boxes. She frequently gave blood to the Red Cross and donated regularly to St Jude for children. Connie loved photography and briefly operated Mystique Photography until her health challenges made it impossible to continue. She loved animals, loved to travel and was fortunate to have seen a lot of our beautiful land and seascapes. She was gifted at growing plants and flowers in her yard and home which was her sanctuary in her last years. During her time on earth, Connie impacted many lives and we will miss her greatly. In lieu of flowers, she would appreciate donations to the local Humane Society, Red Cross or St Jude Hospital for children.

A funeral is planned for 4pm on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House. In keeping with her wishes, cremation will follow. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2pm until the start of the service.
