Norman “Dale” Wilson , Age 81 of Washington Court House, passed away the evening of February 15, 2016 at the Fayette Memorial Hospital.

Dale was born on September 14, 1934 in Fayette County to the late Mose and Margie (Jordan) Wilson. He had lived all of his life in this area. Dale worked as a crane operator for the B&O Railroad, at Armco in Washington Court House, and at Calmar. Besides being a regular at local auctions, he enjoyed spending time at the Commission on Aging, and was a frequent visitor at The Well.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, a step-son, Chuck Harner, his companion of 22 years, Betty Harner, and brothers, Sherman “Fat”, Carl “Slim” and Tony “Jug” Wilson.

He is survived by his children Terry (Sally) Wilson of Greenfield, Jeri (Richard) MaGuire of Florida, Brad (Lisa) Wilson, Amy (Derek) Winters and Toni (Larry) Knox all of Washington CH, Becky (Randy) Stroud and Debbi (Charley) Floyd of Wilmington; grandchildren, Aaron Armentrout, Richard MaGuire, Ty Wilson, Jay Wilson, Nick Hurles, Zoe Fierman, Levi Knox, Skyler Harner, Azia Ratcliffe, and Mindy Baker;  sisters, Katie Wilson of Washington CH and Peg (Gene) Melson of Leesburg; numerous great-grand children, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday February 19 at 11am at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington CH with pastor Danny Dodds officiating. Burial will follow in the Staunton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday February 18, 2016 from 4 pm to 8pm. The family is suggesting a memorial contribution to The Well at Sunnyside in lieu of flowers.
