Daniel Lister

Daniel Lister. Always smiling, Daniel Lister, age 79, passed to be in the glory of his Heavenly Father, Friday, October 24, 2014. A native of Marion, Ohio, he was born to the late Paul D. and Charlotte P. (Brown) Lister. Dan's joys came from being a parent to his two boys and playing with his grandkids. A 1962 OSU graduate, Dan made a carreer as an educator at Gahanna Jefferson Schools, where he was a teacher and principal for 30 years. Dan served in the United States Navy prior to graduating from OSU. Survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Milica Belcheff Lister; sister, Joyce (Henry) Clark; brother, Robert (Judy) Lister; sister-in-law, Cveta Nastev; dear friend Mel Honeycutt; sons, Jeff Lister and Brad (Amanda) Lister; and known as Paw Paw to grandchildren, Abigail, Andrew, Ainsley, and Addison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother in-law Laze and Vana Belcheff. In Celebration of his Christian life, a service will be held at 12 noon, October 28, 2014 at Eastside Grace Brethren Church, 7510 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio. Family will receive friends two hours prior to service, Pastor Jeff Heim officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The if American Heart Association and Eastside Grace Brethren Church. Contribution envelopes will be available at the church.
