Darlene C. Steele, age 70, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at her residence in Washington Court House.
Born September 23, 1944 to Eugene and Mae (McNeil) Follis, she spent her life in Fayette County raising her family and working as a nurses aide.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Rodney Wilt, Ruth Harlow, Everett Follis, Marcia Bruce and Barbara Bruce.
Darlene is survived by her husband, James Steele; children, Carol Penwell, Rebecca Wilson (Daryl Fouch) and Sherry (Earl) Frederick; siblings, Damon Wilt, Vivian Williams and Clarabelle Massie; grandchildren, Alicia, Blake, Brad, Kirk, Ashley, Amanda and Dustin; great grandchildren, Parris, Chrislin, Nathaniel, Chaylee, Xander, Kenzie, Gage, Andrew, Ashlynn and Kauner; special friends Tom and Pam Ward, Dorothy Hill and Dave Crawford, Bryant Durham, Jamie Minny and Christina Woody.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 23, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Wellman-Kinzer & Godorhazy Funeral Home, where the funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. Pastor James Kiger, officiating. Interment to follow in Highlawn Cemetery.
