David Lee Hacker passed away unexpectedly at his home in Washington Court House, Ohio, on December 11, 2025. He was born to the late Richard and Vina (Tagenkamp) Hacker on July 2, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan, and he graduated from Goshen High School in the class of 1980 before pursuing additional education in phlebotomy.
David had a diverse range of interests that brought joy to his life. He cherished time in the great outdoors, cultivating a passion for gardening, and enjoyed relaxing nights by the fire pit. An avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, he found happiness in both cheering for his team and watching classic action movies and home repair shows. His commitment to fitness was evident through his regular workouts at the local YMCA, where he formed lasting friendships. David worked many years as a phlebotomists taking pride in his accomplishments and all the lives he was able to touch in a positive way.
Above all, David was a devoted family man, relishing every moment spent with loved ones, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly (Antico) Hacker, whom he married on July 1, 1998. He is also survived by his son, Dezon L.M. Hacker of Washington C.H.; his daughter, Dayna Hacker (Duncan Current) of Greenfield; and his son, Kurtis Lee Hacker. David took great pride in his role as a grandfather, leaving behind Theodore "Teddy" Current, William "Ham" Current, and his soon-to-arrive grandchild, Dakota Current. David also leaves behind his sister, Tamara (John II) Ziggas, a niece, Tabith Ziggas, a nephew, John Ziggas III. as well as great-nieces, great-nephews, and many cherished friends, including his special canine companions: Queen, Cooper, Bradley, Nico, Ember, and Abby.
His spirit and warmth will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. David Lee Hacker will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also for the love, laughter, and kindness he shared with everyone around him.
In keeping with his wishes, Cremation will take place with no formal services planned at this time.
