David Andrew Jackson, born on December 4, 1950, in London, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home in Washington Court House, Ohio, on August 26, 2025.
David held a distinguished career as an accomplished diesel mechanic, dedicating many years of service at Coopers Industries. His technical skills were unmatched, reflecting a strong work ethic and a devotion to his craft. Beyond his work, David had a rich tapestry of interests that included spending quality time with his family and embracing the joys of being a grandfather. He was an avid coon hunter and belonged to the Atlanta Hunting Club, where he fostered friendships and created lasting memories in the great outdoors. David enjoyed listening to gospel music and attending church.
David was a family man at heart. He is survived by his loving wife, Lorenda (Byrd) Jackson; his son, Brian (Donna) Arrington of Wilmington; his daughter, Amanda May (Martin Suber) of Circleville; and another son, Billy May (Amanda Ealey) of Waverly. David was the proud grandfather of Brandon Arrington, Mercedes May, Mariah Williams, Darian Williams, Bryden May, Brooklynn May, Riley May, Ava May, and Makenna May. Additionally, he is survived by his treasured great-grandchildren, Chevy Saxour and Stormy Ward. He also leaves behind his brother, Robert Jackson, and sister, Diana (Jay) Large, as well as his mother-in-law, Mary Byrd, and his extended family that included many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Among these friends was his special hunting buddy, Darren Dillon, with whom he shared countless adventures.
David was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Brittany May, and his parents, Luther and Madge (Wilson) Jackson, his brothers Rodney Jackson, Sandy Wilson, Walter Wilson, George Jackson, and Pearl Jackson, and his sister Connie Jackson.
Visitation and funeral services honoring David's life will be held on September 3, 2025, at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House, Ohio. The visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM.
David Andrew Jackson will be profoundly missed but will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
