Debbie Ann Atherton

Debbie Ann (Schuetz) Atherton, 53, passed away at her home on October 15, 2025, in Washington Court House, Ohio following ongoing illness. Born on July 10, 1972, in Red Bud, Illinois, Debbie worked many year as a Home Healthcare Aide, where she touched the lives of many with her compassionate care.

Debbie is survived by her devoted husband, Wallie Ray Atherton, mother, Joyce Copple, and her children, Joshua Lee Degenhardt, Kendra Lynn Degenhardt, Natasha Larae Degenhardt French (Whitney), Joy Kathleen Falkenhein, Cassie Atherton, Clara Gaure, and Sierra Atherton (Ben Grooms). She was also a grandmother to Logan Sickels, Tyler French, Tyson French, Dylan French, Mya Degenhardt, Amelia Gaure, Elijah Ratliff, Odessin Gaure, Kyleigh Falkenhein, and Anna Falkenhein.

Debbie is further survived by her sisters, Christine Schuetz, Jeannie Easton, Bobbie Erbst, and Lilian Scarber, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Robert Schuetz.

Her spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.

Cremation will take place with no formal services at this time.
