Dennis Wilt, Sr., affectionately known as "Denny," passed away on April 18, 2026, in his hometown of Washington Court House, Ohio, following ongoing failing health. Dennis was born on March 17, 1955, in Washington Court House to the late William and Emma (Damron) Wilt.

A 1974 graduate of East Clinton High School, Dennis dedicated a significant portion of his life to a distinguished 26-year career at Mac Tools. His unwavering commitment and work ethic were hallmarks of his professional life, earning him respect from colleagues and friends alike.

Dennis was a man of diverse interests, often remembered for his vibrant personality as an avid CB radio enthusiast in his earlier years. His leisure hours were joyfully spent immersed in classic television programs he dearly loved, including the thrilling world of professional wrestling and nostalgic series such as Little House on the Prairie, The Andy Griffith Show, and Leave It to Beaver. These shows offered him comfort and joy, reflecting the warmth and humor he shared with those around him.

He is survived by his sons, Dennis (Nikole) Wilt, Jr. and James (Jaime) Wilt, who carry forward his legacy, and grandchildren: J.J. Wilt, Dallas Wilt, Jessica Wilt, Zach Smith, Gwen Wilt, Chloe Wilt, Kenleigh Wilt, Kenzie Wilt, Kendyll Wilt, and Abby Boldman. Dennis also leaves behind sisters, Gail (Ed) Ellars and Jonda Wilt, as well as his brother, Carl (Elaine) Wilt, along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will fondly remember his kindness and humor. Among his many friends was Angel, his faithful canine companion, who provided comfort and companionship throughout Dennis’s life.

Along with his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his beloved wife Tillie (Lute) Wilt, the mother of his children, as well as his second wife, Kim (Preston) Wilt, as well as brothers Randy Wilt and Kenny Damron.

Cremation will take place with a graveside service to follow at the convenience of the family.
