Doris E (Smith) Secrest

Doris Evelyn Secrest , 69, of Washington C.H. passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital.

Doris was born January 12, 1953, in Washington C.H. to the late Hubert and Helen (Ater) Smith. She was a graduate of the Washington Senior High School. Doris worked for most of her life in retail, before retiring from Walmart in January of 2022. Doris loved traveling and especially going to the beach. She also cherished every moment she got to spend with her grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Doris was preceded in death by brothers, Loren and Mark Smith.

Survivors include her children, Brian Secrest and Fawn Secrest (Robert Taynor); grandchildren, Trenton Hamm and Braedon Taynor; sister, Caren Whaley; brother, Larry Smith, and sister-in-law, Terrena Smith. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and a host of close friends and co-workers, including her best friend, Mary Morrison and her fur babies, Lance and Pyper.

The family will receive friends from 1pm to 3pm on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Roberts Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted to assist the family with burial expenses.
