Edward Leroy Groves, Jr.

Edward L Groves, Jr. passed away October 1, 2023, at Legacy of Hillsboro following a prolonged Illness.

Edward was born May 16, 1954, in Washington Court House to the late Edward and Virginia (Sealine) Groves, Sr. He attended Samantha Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing in his free time.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ellen Mick.

Edward is survived by his wife, the former Willa Jean Francis, whom he married January 31, 1976; his children, Deborah (Richard) Gibson of Middletown and William (Julia) Francis; grandchildren, Kristin, Tyler, Caleb, Selena, Nykiah, Jordan, and Jayden; six great grandchildren; and sisters, Rosemary Daugherty, Brenda Groves, Linda (James) Eldridge, Patty Smith, Jane Ann Dean, Norma Nelson, Betty Groves, and Barb (Rick) Willet and a brother-in-law, Wayne Mick. He also leaves behind his many friends including a special friend and fishing buddy, Jason Boggs.

Cremation will take place with no formal services planned at this time.
