Ellen Cora (Fryer) Burnett

Ellen Cora Burnett, age 76, of Washington Court House, passed away on October 29, 2022 at her son Todd's home.  She was born June 14, 1946 in Mt. Sterling, Ohio to the late Perley and Ella (White) Fryer.  Over the years, Ellen was employed at Hospice of Fayette County, Mac Tools, and the State of Ohio.

Ellen enjoyed travels with her husband in retirement, especially time spent in Florida.  They were avid Nascar fans and always enjoyed a day of fishing.

Her greatest passion was her grandchildren.  She loved having them on the weekends and taking them camping.  Holly, her dog, was a faithful companion and stayed by her side until the end.

She will be remembered for making her cinnamon rolls at Christmas and her oyster dressing.

Ellen was preceded in death by her husband (Jerry), her parents (Perley and Ella Fryer), her sister Nancy Black and her brother Bill Fryer.  She is survived by her son Tracy (Tina) Burnett of Washington Court House, Todd (Gale) Burnett of Bainbridge, grandchildren Kami (Bryant Exline) Camp, Wesley Burnett, TJ (Kelsey) Burnett, Chelsye (Brett) Davis, Brent (Briana) Burnett and eight great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sisters Carol Williams and Becky (Cecil) Seaman and brother-in-law Robert Burnett.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 5 ^th at 12:00 noon at the Chapel of Hope in Greenfield, 12986 State Route 41 North, Greenfield, Ohio 45123.  A private burial will be held at the Washington Cemetery at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to the hospice organization of your choice.
