Flora Catherine Stiffler

Flora Catherine “Cathy” Stiffler, 71, of Washington CH passed peacefully on April 12, 2025, at the Court House Manor care facility following an extended illness.

Cathy was born June 18, 1953, in Fayette County to the late W Herman, Jr. and Mary (Detty) Payton. She had worked for many years as a carrier for the Columbus Dispatch. She enjoyed reading and solving crossword puzzles.

Along with her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Stiffler, an infant son, Jamie Stiffler, biological father, Charles Barton, brother, Gene Payton and his wife, Mary Gail, and her loving canine companion, Toby.

Survivors include her children, Peggy (David) Payton of Jeffersonville, Richard Stiffler of Greenfield, Christina (Jimmy) Furniss of Jeffersonville, Susan (Scottie) Kuhn of Chillicothe, Roberta Christianberry of WCH, and Brettani (Drew) Phillips of WCH; grandchildren, Scott (Ashley) Forsha, Lisa Payton, Jamie (Corrie) Payton, Kaci (Spencer) Rudy, Megan (Seth) Hollaway, Amanda Stiffler, Dustin Stiffler, Dawna (Ben) Everhart, Amanda (Frankie) Whaley, Jessica Furniss, Trenton (Nikya) Kuhn, Cierra Kuhn, Coty Kuhn, Tyler Stiffler, Katie (Chase) Hough, Zachery (Mikela) Park, Kaitlyn Kuhn (Jordan Robinson), Rebel Christianberry, Lexi (Gerald) Christianberry, and Branson Morris; 35 great grandchildren with one arriving soon, and, 2 great-great grandchildren with one arriving soon. She also leaves behind brothers, David (Peggy) Payton, Jimme (Retha) Payton, sister, Carolyn (John) Trimble, and her many extended family members and friends.

A funeral is planned for Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Rev. Devon Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 16th from 5 to 7pm.
