Glen “Butch” R. Geesling, 71, of Fayette County passed away August 27, 2013 at home. His death was sudden and unexpected.
Glen was a life-long farmer and “Fayette Countian.” To him, farming was his calling and passion to which he dedicated himself and it was a source of great pleasure and pride.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Margery (Albright) Geesling, father and mother-in-law, Charles F. and Mary Alice (Ferguson) Weller, sisters-in-law, Barb (Kruger) Geesling, Helen (Brown) Geesling and nephew, Edward (Eddie) Geesling.
Glen is survived by his wife Rhona L. (Weller) Geesling whom he married October 19, 1962; his children, Randal G. Geesling of Washington C.H. and Tamera Geesling (Thomas Roehrig) of Centerville; two brothers, John (Joe) Geesling and Ronald H. Geesling; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles J. (Jerry) Weller and Debi Weller; nieces, Michele K. and Ronette Geesling; nephews, Chris and David Weller; great nephews, Adam Dodds and Dakota Weller, great nieces, Carly Dodds and Caitlyn Weller, and by numerous cousins.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 10:30 in the Wellman-Kinzer Funeral Home with Father Patrick Rogers of the St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church officiating, with burial to follow at St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
