Gloria W. Austin, age 85, formerly of Washington Court House, went to be with her Lord and Saviour Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Edgewood Manor Nursing Home in Greenfield, OH.
Born May 22, 1929, in Wilmington, Ohio to Longino and Bernice (Stephens) Dahmer, Gloria’s joys in life came from serving Jesus Christ, and the love and care she shared and bestowed upon her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Carroll, George, Longino, Jr., Edwinna, Ellen, Merle and Norma.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 64 years, Donald B. Austin; children, Valentino (Susan) Austin, Andre (Sue) Austin; grandchildren, Donald (Renaee) Austin, Valentino (Jennifer) Austin II, Andre Austin and Armand Austin; brother, Wilbur (Navia) Dahmer; sisters, Annetta Smith and Elaine (Esto) Haithcock; great grandchildren, Avery and Valentino Austin.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Wellman-Kinzer & Godorhazy Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service. Pastor Esto Haithcock, officiating. Interment to follow, Bloomingburg Cemetery.
