Gregory Brown, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, in Washington Court House, Ohio, with his loving wife by his side. Born on April 23, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio, Gregory was a 1978 graduate of North High School.

Known for his warm and kind spirit, Gregory carried a smile that could brighten any room and any day. He found simple joys in life's delights, notably enjoying White Castles and cream-filled donuts whenever the opportunity arose. These small pleasures, along with his deep love for family, defined the warmth he radiated to all who knew him.

Gregory was a loving dad and grandpa, roles he embraced with pride and devotion. He is survived by his wife, Patty Brown; his sons, Gregory L. Brown, Jamie Jones, Matthew Smith, Chadwick (April) Smith; and daughter, Jessica (Sherwin) McGann. Siblings, to Fred (Mary) White, Gary Brown, Crystal (Stan) Fleming, along with 18 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide circle of friends including special friends Tara Degenkolb and Danielle Bolden.

Gregory was preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel and Annette Brown; sister Rolanda Ford, brothers, William “Billy” Brown, Darrell Streeter, and son, Michael Smith.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place with a celebration of life to be held at the convenience of the family.

Greg’s memory will forever be held dear by those who knew him. His life was marked by a genuine kindness and the unwavering love he shared with his family and friends.
