Howard E. Morris, 77, of Williamsport passed unexpectedly at his home on October 21, 2024.
Howard was born November 1, 1946, in Ross County, Ohio to the late Charles Maynard and Martha Louise (Teets) Morris. He was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corps. Howard served during Vietnam, earning several medals including the Purple Heart, Presidential Unit Citation, and a National Defense Service Medal. Following the service to his country, Howard worked for many years driving truck. He was a member of the Atlanta United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the New Holland Lions Club and a Mason and former member of the Williamsport Masonic Lodge. In recent years Howard had enjoyed Classic Tractors and Hobby Farming, raising some of the best sweet corn around.
Along with his parents, Howard was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Morris, a brother, Charles Morris, and a nephew, Travis Morris.
Survivors include his brother, Mike Morris, nieces and nephews, including special nephews, Ryan (Heidi) Morris and Cory (Alison) Morris, Sister-In-Law, Cheryl Morris, as well as several great nieces and nephews and his many friends.
A funeral service is planned for 1pm on Monday, October 28, 2024, at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Pastor Serena Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in the New Holland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 27th from 4 to 6pm.
