Jack Brian Carr, born on July 19, 1959, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2025, in Washington Court House, Ohio. He lived a life marked by dedication, service, and a profound love for his family and friends.
In his younger years, Jack began his professional journey as a truck driver. He started his career in emergency medical services with the Fayette County Life Squad in 1997, showcasing his commitment to helping others. With determination and hard work, he successfully completed the Paramedic Program at Grant Medical Center in 1999. Jack devoted many years to the EMS field until health challenges necessitated his retirement.
Jack was known for his fun-loving personality and great sense of humor, qualities that endeared him to many. He possessed the rare ability to connect with people, never meeting a stranger, which allowed him to create lasting bonds throughout his life.
A passionate outdoorsman, Jack found joy in fishing, a pastime that allowed him to connect with nature and spend time with those he cherished. He was a proud family man and loved his family deeply.
Jack is survived by his loving wife, Fantasy Carr; sons, Chad (Crystal) Carr, Brad Carr, and Colton (Katlyn) Carr; daughters, Jackie (Roger) Brobeck, Stephanie (Robbie) Moeller, and Jayda Durham. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren: Haley Carr, McKinley (Ian) Wilson, Jaelyn Carr, Brooklyn Carr, Alexandra (Jordan) Little, Riley Pratt, Bayley Pratt, Carley Pratt, Amelia Brobeck, Magnus Brobeck, Crystal DeMint, Alexis DeMint, Josiah Carr, Margaret Carr, Oscar Carr, Hunter Jarvis, Layne Jarvis, Beau Jarvis, Adalynn Durham, and Blaise Kennard, as well as several great-grandchildren.
His legacy also lives on through his sisters, Marica "Ric" Cherry, Cindy (Shannon) Storts, and Candy "Tiger" (Jeff) Hughes, and nieces and nephews, Tony (Kami) Eddlemon, Aaron Nicole) Eddlemon, Brady (Madison) Hall, Tucker (Hannah) Hughes, Kylie Jo (Chase) Enochs, Laikyn Hughes, Scott (Tabitha) Templin, Keith (Michelle) Templin, John, Bill, Tony, and Mike Cherry, Amanda Laney, and Teri Bennett, along with many great nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends who were blessed to have him in their lives.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Janice (Royer) Carr, and his brother-in-law, Ron Cherry.
A Masonic Service is planned for 12pm on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House. A funeral service will follow immediately after with Philip Funk officiating. Burial will take place in the Highlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10am until the start of the service.
Jack's impact on his family, friends, and the community will be remembered fondly, reflecting the love and laughter he shared throughout his life.
