James Lee Prindle, 89, of Bloomingburg, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Monday, May 13, 2024.
Jim was born February 12, 1935, in Commercial Point, Ohio to the late Claude and Geneva (Whiteside) Prindle. He worked for over 30 years driving a semi truck and received several safety awards for his perfect driving record. Following a successful career, Jim retired in 1997. When he wasn’t working Jim enjoyed playing golf, working puzzles, playing pool, and watching westerns and war movies on TV. He also liked playing cards and would spend hours playing solitaire. Jim dearly loved his schnauzers, Sadie, Charlie, and Daisy.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Martin Lee Prindle, his siblings, Glenn Prindle, Monna Belle Gibson, and Larry Prindle, and a son-in-law, Terry Jenkins.
Surviving is his wife, the former Eileen Faye Harrison; children, James Michael (Robin) Prindle, Thelma Renee Jenkins, Carolyn Susanne Marshall, and Kellie Lynne (Dusty) Smith; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and his many friends.
A funeral service is planned for 1pm on Monday, May 20, 2024, with Pastor Steve Wetterhan officiating. Burial will follow in the Bloomingburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11am until the start of the service.
