Joanne Forsythe

Joanne Forsythe , Age 79, of Washington C.H. passed away Monday September 19, 2016 at the St. Catherine’s Care Center.

She was born on October 21, 1936 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Lee and Lucille (Godfrey) Sheridan. She lived most of her life in this area and was a graduate of Washington Senior High School. Joanne worked as a retail supervisor at both Lazarus and Elder Beerman, before retiring from Foster Haines.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Imogene Caperton, Rita Warner, Thelma Laykins, Virginia Merritt, Deanie Dale, and Dorney Dale; and brothers, Bill Dale, Donnie Dale, and Pat Sheridan.

She is survived by husband, Charles “Ed” Forsythe, whom she married on June 30, 1956; children, Chelle Forsythe, Gail Conner, Eddie (Dawn) Forsythe, and Brad Forsythe; grandchildren, Adam (Ronni) Conner, Coty (Tracy) Anderson, Mia (Andy) Hurst, Rayanne Conner, Deven (James) Baughn, Allison Forsythe, Bradley Forsythe, Abigail Forsythe, and Mackenzie Harding; great-grandchildren, Pheonix Williams, Charli Conner, Oakley Anderson, Iris Taylor, and Violet Anderson; brother, Bob (Jane) Sheridan; nieces and nephews; Sonja, Charmaine and Dave (Suzanna) Caperton, Linda (Larry) Buckley, Jay Laykins, Rick and Randy (Robin) Southworth, Shirley Dale, Mike (Stephanie), Terry, Frank (Evelyn), Wendy, Margie, and Steve (Sherry) Merritt. As well as many friends, including her dear friend Janet “Billie” Shaw.

A celebration of life will take place on Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Roberts Funeral Home in WCH with Pastor Jeff Davis officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5pm until the time of service. Burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
