Lawrence "Larry" Leason Mongold

Lawrence “Larry” Leason Mongold, of Bucyrus, formerly of Washington Court House, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 23, 2023, at his home at the age of 71.

Larry was born January 25, 1952, in Washington Court House, Ohio to the late Albert and Norma (Manns) Mongold. He was a loving son, father, and grandfather. Larry was an avid music fan and loved creating his own mixes. Throughout the years he was known for being optimistic and resourceful, with a life philosophy of adapt and improvise. Larry is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force Reserves, with service in both Vietnam and the Persian Gulf.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Stacie Beucler.

Larry is survived by his children, Larry (Kara) Mongold, Suzie (Romy) Radcliff, Kathy Jo (John W.) Mongold, and Valerie Mongold; grandchildren, Ashley, Cassandra, Dezera, Billie Jo, Dakota, Draken, Lexi and Cory; sister, Linda (Gregory) Dixon; brothers, J.R., Danny, and Ralph Mongold. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members, as well as his many friends.

A funeral is planned for 1pm on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Pastor Mark Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11am until the start of the service.
