Leona Marie Merritt , age 98, of Circleville, formerly of Washington CH, passed away on January 19, 2017 at Berger Hospital.
Leona was born on December 7, 1918 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Carl and Geneva Simon Walter.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Merritt; daughter, Patricia Cummins; and son-in-law Robert Cummins.
Survivors include her son, John R. (Wanda Jean) Merritt of Ocala, FL; grandson, Jeremy Robert Merritt of FL; great-grandson, Elijah A. Merritt of Columbus; brother-in-law, Norman (Wanda Jane) Merritt of Staunton; and special friends, Diana and Leroy Storts of Greenfield.
No public service is planned. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 212 S. High St., Hillsboro, OH 45133. Roberts Funeral Home is caring for the family.
