Lola Lee Spencer, daughter of Bud and Lucille Spencer, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at her home in Washington Court House, Ohio, on July 16, 2026. Born on July 10, 1960, in Chillicothe, Ohio, Lola’s life was defined by her unwavering love for her family and her strong-willed personality. Lola was fearless, resilient, and persistent —traits that endeared her to her family and friends. While she might have been considered a challenging medical patient, it was this same spirit that allowed her to slowly win over the hearts of her caregivers and bring smiles and laughter wherever she went.
Lola loved nothing more than taking leisurely drives along the back roads, enjoying the peace and beauty of the countryside. Her collection of Coca-Cola memorabilia was a testament to her ability to take interest and pride in the things she loved.
Family was at the very core of Lola’s world, and she was immensely proud to be both a mother and a grandmother. She leaves behind her daughters: Crystal (Derek) Nixon of Grove City, Tiffany (Mark) Groves-Seymour of Chillicothe, Melissa Seymour (Jeremy Fabin) of Ross County, and Siera (Nick) Gilbert of Washington CH. Her legacy also lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Tayler Groves-Seymour, Cameron Terhune, Tyler Groves-Seymour, Trenton Groves-Seymour, Logan Nixon, Madeline Nixon, Kaylee Fabin, Colton Fabin, Addilynn Gilbert, Ellison Gilbert, and Avri Gilbert. Lola was also blessed with a great-grandchild, Hezekiah Rouleau. She also leaves behind brothers, James Post (Renee Reed), Joe (Shauna) Spencer, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her family, she is fondly remembered by her faithful pet, Benny, and many others who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Lola is preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Lucille Spencer; brothers, Beeman Spencer and Buddy Spencer; her sisters, Betsy Post, Patty Spencer, Vicki Joseph; and her furbaby, Lucky.
Family and friends are invited to honor Lola’s life at Roberts Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Washington Court House. Visitation will be held on July 20, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm at the same location. Graveside service will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Chillicothe.
Lola Lee Spencer will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Lola's laughter, her playful spirit, and the deep care she showed to those around her will remain in the hearts of her loved ones forever.
