Lucille Wilson

Lucille Wilson, was called home to be with her Lord, Savior and Master. She left on a train called Heaven Bound, she had her ticket in her hand.

She was born on June 13, 1932, in Washington Court House, Ohio. The daughter of Leroy and Daisy (Simmons) Wilson. She was a longtime member of the Second Baptist Church in Washington C. H. where she served as Trustee, Deaconess and Treasurer. Sister Wilson also was an active member of The Commission on Aging until she got sick and had to leave. She played chair volleyball to all the surrounding towns. She was a Foster Parent for 35 years for NAYP. She adopted 9 children from there. Most of them attended the college of their choice. She had 4 children of her own, one is deceased.

Mother and Dad deceased. Siblings deceased: six sisters; Geraldine Wilson Ellis, Winifred Wilson Garrett, Opal Wilson Johns, Betty Wilson Yates, Mary Wilson Witherspoon, Virginia Wilson Benson and three brothers:  Theodore Wilson, Fred Wilson, and Robert Wilson.

She leaves to mourn her loss; two sisters Joan Wood and Margaret Wood of Springfield. Her children; Minister Robin Harris of Bowie MD., Melodie Sanders, Pas. Lester (Denise) Sanders Jr. of W.C.H., Charmaine Hunter, Andrew Wilson, Akira Wilson and Quentyn Wilson of W.C.H., Charles Sanders - deceased,  TQuan Wilson, and Carmalita Wilson of California, Ken Wilson of Columbus,  Brandi Maria Wilson, Alex Wilson of Kentucky. Grandchildren; Michaela Sanders of Beavercreek, Stephen Harris of Columbus, David Harris of Bowie, MD, Tanika Dotson of W.C.H., , and Carmen Haithcock of  Canton. Great Grandchildren; Tianna Wilson, Aniyah Wilson, Alayah Wilson, Chloe McNaulty, Alaysia Dotson, Jordan Harris Thomas, Isabelle Harris, and, Gabrielle Harris. A honorary son; Kenneth Upthegrove Sr. and honorary friends; Brooke Wright of NAYP, Mellisa of NYAP, Marilyn, Shayna, Bertha Terry and Diana Lee. A special helper; niece Kayla Maiden.

A funeral service will take place at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Pastor Lester Sander4s, Jr. and Min. Charles Rickman, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 5 to 7pm.
