M.Sgt. William Langley Scott Ret. , age 82, of Washington CH passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of July 15, 2016.
Bill was born on September 7, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio, and was a graduate of Malta-McConnelsville High School. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Bill served as a boom operator in the refueling division during both the Vietnam and Korean Wars. He was an avid reader and enjoyed watching movies and his favorite television shows. Photography was a hobby he enjoyed, and he had even taken a few classes in the art.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Furrow, and his grandparents Earl and Zelpha Scott
Survivors include his wife Patricia Ann (Roberts) Scott, whom he married on June 16, 1957; his children, Connie (Rick) Smith of WCH and Robert Scott of Rock Mills; grandchildren, Kelsey (Jesse) Johnson, Chase Smith and Dylan Smith; great-grandchildren, Presley and Jett Johnson; brothers, Tom (Sharon) Furrow of AZ and Rick (Ino) Furrow of Columbus; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday July 20, 2016 at the Roberts Funeral Home in WCH from 4pm-7pm. Burial with military honors will take place on Thursday July 28, 2016 at 1pm in White Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
