Mary Frances (Lightle) Howland

Mary Francis (Lightle) Howland, 83, of Washington Court House passed away April 18, 2022, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

Mary was born November 9, 1938, in Washington CH to the late Isaac Sr. and Melvina (Wilson) Lightle. Mary was a retired LPN, a job which she truly loved. Mary always had fun traveling. She also enjoyed discussions and spirited debate about politics.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Donald Howland, a son, James A. Howland. Grandsons, Ian A. and Jason D. Howland, 4 sisters and 5 brothers.

Mary is survived by her children, Donald D. and Larry Dean Howland, Kimberlyn (Chuck) Pendegraft, Anita (Chris) Ellis, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In keeping with Mary’s wishes, cremation will take place. A private memorial service will be planned at the family’s convenience.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to stroke research, or a hospice organization of your choice. Roberts Funeral Home is caring for the family.
