Mavis C Walls

Mavis Carean Walls , age 76 of Jackson, Ohio passed away on the evening of August 3, 2016 at the Fayette County Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Mavis was born on December 1, 1939 in Verner, WV to the late Albert and Lula (Toler) Walls. She had lived in Ohio for the last 56 years and was a graduate of Franklin Heights High School.  She enjoyed singing, and had started a band, Country Rhythm, in which she was the lead vocalist. Mavis was also a member of the Liberty Christian Church in Jackson, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Sherman Hatfield.

Survivors include her children; Danita (Mike) Dent of Jackson, Rhonda Kiefner of WCH and Gregg (Jeanna) Hatfield of Williamsport; siblings, Gertrude, Travis and Clayton Walls all of WV; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 4 great- great-grandchildren; and many friends.

Private services will be at the convenience of the family under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
