Michael J. Lander of Washington Court House died Saturday, November 2, 2024, in the afternoon. He was in failing health for some time. He had been diagnosed with multiple cancers and decided not to seek treatment. A lawyer by profession, he was also Vietnam veteran, acting judge and avid motorcyclist. Also, he was an expert on the salinity of pasta water. He loved steaks and ice cream and black cigars. He loved cowboy boots and fancy watches. He loved his family and helping his AA friends. He was born in Hyattsville Maryland in 1945 the oldest of 9 children. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joan M Lander, oldest son Eric of Mountain Rest, SC, middle son James C. Lander of Hillsborough, NC, and youngest son Martin of Charlotte NC. He was proud of his two grandchildren Axel and Kiran. He suffered greatly from his illnesses, and he is at peace now.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12pm on Friday, November 8, 2024, at the St Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church in Washington Court House, Ohio with Father C.M. Haddad.
