Norman “Duke” Adams Sr., 77, of Washington C.H. passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013.  Mr. Adams an Army veteran was a member of the VFW.  He was born on March 29, 1936 in Bainbridge to Estle and Vera (Hill) Adams.  Mr. Adams was an avid trap shooter accomplishing a 10 ^th place finish in 1982 at the Grand American Handicap, Vandalia, Ohio; and a 1 ^st place finish at the Mid-American in Middletown, Ohio.  He was very musically inclined with the ability to play almost any instrument he picked up.  He enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and NASC AR racing.  He participated in hunting, fishing, gardening and karaoke.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Paul and Edward Adams, brother-in-law, Bob Fulwider and by special friend, Florence Lyons.

Mr. Adams is survived by the mother of his children, Verna Jean Adams, his children, Danita (Dale) McFadden, Norman “Chip” Adams Jr., Kimberly Roberts, sisters, Cleotta (Val) Raines, Betty Fulwider, Connie (Greg) Anderson, sister-in-laws, Nancy and Cheryl Adams, grandchildren, Beth, J.R., Courtney, Erin, Kevin, Chelsea, Nick and Dustin, 8 great grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Adams will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Wellman-Kinzer Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highlawn Cemetery.
