Rhonda Sue Harris, age 59 of Washington Court House entered her heavenly home on Sunday, March 8th, 2026, at Grant Medical Center where she had been since January due to the long-term effects of cancer.
Rhonda was born October 11, 1966, to the late Ronald Dunn Sr. and Marjorie Maire Jessing and her stepfather Herman Jessie Jessing who played a major role in raising her.
She attended and graduated from Miami Trace High School. At the age of 16 Rhonda started working at Wendy’s. That is where she met her husband Charles T. “Butch” Harris II. They married on September 14, 1991, and have spent 44 years together and 34 years married.
Rhonda had a successful career as a records manager for over 30 years where she worked with various Attorney’s at prominent law firms. She took great pride in what she did. She loved to help others. She worked as a case manager at Clinton County Job and Family Services until she was unable to work due to her health.
Rhonda was a family woman. She gave her life to her family, especially her granddaughters. Rhonda was known as “Mam” to her granddaughters and they were her world. She enjoyed spending time with her family at dirt bike outings, pool days at her home, baking cookies with the girls and weekend sleepovers at Mam and Pap’s House.
She is breast cancer survivor, lung cancer survivor, and colon cancer survivor. She fought hard through those battles with great strength. She will be known for her infectious laugh and smile and her courageous strength to battle through anything. To know Rhonda was to love her.
Along with her father, Ronald Dunn Sr, Rhonda was preceded in death by her mother-in-Law and Father-in-Law; Shirley Marie and Charles T “Buck” Harris I, her sister Veronica Dunn Pollard and her grandparents Katie and Joshua Coder.
Survivors include her parents, Herman and Majorie Jessing, her husband Butch, their children Charles T. “Trey” (Samantha McAusland) Harris III, Tasha (Kodi) Jackson, granddaughters Eloise James, Charlie Sue, Remi Marie, Rori Marie, step-granddaughters Ryla and Lilly, siblings, Ronald Dunn Jr, Lonnie Dunn, Suzanne Jessing, Vicki Witmer, Sandra “Sandi” Harris, and Stephanie “Stacey” (Joe) Cannon, nieces and nephews, Myles, Bailey, Rylee, Kylee, Toni Leigh (Brent), Samantha, Preston (Sydney) and McKenzee. Rhonda also leaves behind Madison Brown and her son Oakes as she loved them as her own and a host of lifelong friends (Woot Woot Hootie Hoo).
A funeral mass is set for 12pm on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the St. Colman Catholic Church with Fr. Haddad. Burial will follow in the St. Colman Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 17th at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House from 5 to 8pm, with a Rosary Service starting at 8pm.
