Robbie Lee Vorhees

Robbie Lee Vorhees , Age 58, of Washington C.H. passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 at the Fayette Memorial Hospital. His death was sudden and unexpected.

Robbie was born on June 1, 1958 in WCH to Robert Lee and Mary Blanch (Parrett) Vorhees. He lived most of his life in this area, and was a graduate of Miami Trace High School. Robbie is described as a “jack of all trades”. He was a D.J. and his hobbies included deer hunting, fishing, woodworking, and tinkering with engines.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Surviving are his mother; son, Ernest Vorhees (Crystal Carey) of WCH; daughter, Rashell Vorhees (Ron Brookes) of Jeffersonville; companion, Ruth Haines of WCH; the mother of his children, Lisa Bott; grandchildren, Ernest Riley Joseph Vorhees, Brianna Ali Lynn Woolley, Keyonna Lynn Vorhees, and Raylynn Toni Lee Brookes; sister, Shelley Ann Vorhees-Lemaster (Jim) Crow; niece, Kimberly Ann Vorhees; nephew, Kenneth Robert Lemaster; and many friends.

Services will be at 7pm Thursday December 15th at the Roberts Funeral Home in WCH with Pastor Mike Hodges officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5pm to 7pm on the evening of the service. Interment at the Pleasant Cemetery in Mt. Sterling will follow at a later date.
