Sharon Kay (Baker) Reid passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.  She was 79.

Kay was born on November 22, 1941 in Washington Court House, Ohio to Robert and Mary (McCoy) Rhoades.

She was a member of the Washington Court House High School Class of 1959.  Kay worked for 44 years at Midland Acres in Bloomingburg, a key contributor to the farm’s rise to prominence as one of Ohio’s premier Standardbred horse breeding operations.

In retirement, Kay enjoyed spending time with family and friends in Florida and Ohio, working at horse sales and facilitating local elections.

She was a beloved wife, mother, (great) grandmother, aunt and sister who made a lasting impact upon her family and extensive network of friends.

Kay was preceded in death by her mother, father and first husband, Ted Baker.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, David Reid of Jeffersonville, sisters Audrey Miller of Bloomingburg, Patricia Rhoades of Sun City West, AZ and Roberta Jo (Larry) Cokonougher of Greenfield, sons Bart Baker of Ft. Myers, FL, and Bret Baker of WCH, stepson Ryan Reid of Tampa, FL, grandchildren Summer Baker, Bretta Baker, Tyler Baker and McKinley Reid, great grandchildren Kayleigh, Kiley and Julian Baker, Kahlil and Kahtye Mason, Nathaniel Bach and Lucas Noble, nieces Tracey Cokonougher and  Vicki Johnson, nephews Kurt Cokonougher, Rick Miller and William (Billy Mac) Miller, special friends Don and Myrna Cockerill, Marshall and Barbara Hall, Roger Belles, Jane Coldiron, Bill and Julie Calderone, and numerous great nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 21 st from 11:00am-1:00pm at Roberts Funeral Home, 509 Washington Avenue in Washington Court House.  Funeral services will immediately follow with Pastor Danny Dodds officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
