Sherman Willard Wilson, age 76, of Washington Court House, passed away April 13, 2014 at his residence.
Sherman was born August 22, 1937 in Fayette Co. to the late Mose and Margie Jordan Wilson. Living his entire life locally, Mr. Wilson owned and operated an excavating company as well as retiring from ARMCO after 43 years of service.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting mushrooms and was an avid bowler on two leagues.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Tony and Carl Wilson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, the former Juanita L. Hoover; sons Howard Scott Wilson and Brian Todd (Katheryn) Wilson; daughter, Tina G. Lindsey; grandchildren, Taylor and Bailey Lindsey; great grandchild, Aubree Lindsey; brother, Dale Wilson; sisters Peggy (Gene) Melson and Kay Ann Wilson; brother-in-law, Clifford Hoover; sisters-in-law, Vivian (Lyle) Rutger, Rosie (Larry) Cottrill, Ramona (Marvin) Collins.
Friends may call Friday, April 18, 2014, from 4-8 p.m. at the Wellman-Kinzer & Godorhazy Funeral Home. Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Pastor Danny Dodds officiating. Interment to follow Staunton Cemetery.
