Stuart Edward Byrd , 46 of Washington Court House passed away on the morning of June 25, 2016 at the Fayette Memorial Hospital. His death was sudden and unexpected.
Stuart was born on June 17,1970 in Conway, SC to the late Edward and Gussie (Davis) Byrd. After graduating from Conway High School, he entered the U.S Army. During his military career he was awarded multiple citations including; the National Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Bronze Service Star-I, Army Commendation Medal, Expert Marksmanship Badge for both Rifle, M-16, and grenade, Overseas Service Bar, Driver and Mechanics Badge, and the Drive - W- Bar.
He leaves to mourn: grandmother, Eva Davis of SC; children, Stuart Jr., Tracie, and Dominick Byrd all of IN, and Calvin McKnight of SC; sisters, Jacqueline Byrd Mitchell of WCH and Lisa (Spencer) Adams of VA; brothers, Bobby (Yvonne) Washington and Eddie (Angelique) Washington both of SC; Uncles and Aunts, Luella Washington, Edith Parker, Nora Jackson and Pearl Jackson all of SC, Della Doctor of FL, Mary (Harold ) Lawhorn and Deloris Davis both of NY, Henry Lee (Leola) Washinton of MD, John (Rosetta) Davis, Robert (Nora) Davis, Isaac Davis, and Calving Washington and Ben (Albert) Washington all of SC; As well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Private interment arrangements at the Dayton National Cemetery will take place at the convenience of the family. Services are under the direction of the Roberts Funeral Home of Washington C.H.
