Sylvia M. Fulton, 103, of Washington Court House, Ohio passed away at 12:09 a.m., Thursday, October 16, 2014, at Court House Manor. She had been there since March 18, 2013.
She was born August 31, 1911 to the late Harvey and Lida Webb Self. She began working at the age of 15 in Columbus, OH, with the majority of her professional career at Willow Wood in Mt. Sterling, were she eventually retired.
Sylvia was a very gracious, independent lady that began each day by saying with God, they could do anything together. Through life, she encountered many tragic events, but always said if she didn’t cause it, or was unable to fix it, she could endure it.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; daughter and son-in-law , Joanne and William Horney; grandson, Victor Horney; sisters, Donna Lindsey, Glenna Matson, Margaret Self, Betty Pauley, Lois Elzey; brothers, Wilber, Max, Kenneth, Harvey Jr., Benny and Norman.
Surviving are many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends, including the many caregivers she so dearly loved at Court House Manor.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 18, 2014, at 12 noon, in the Wellman-Kinzer & Godorhazy Funeral Home. Friends are invited to call one hour prior to service. Pastor Jim Kiger officiating. Burial to follow in Washington Cemetery.
