William E. Oiler

William “Bill” Eugene Oiler , Age 69, of Washington CH passed away Sunday July 10, 2016 at the Kobacker House in Columbus.

Bill was born on January 5, 1947 in Highland County to the late William and Betty (Boyer) Oiler. He had lived all of his life in the area, and was a member of the McClain High School class of 1965. He retired from Johnson Controls in 2009 after 43 years of employment. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, golfing and watching his grandkids play sports.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth Ann, whom he married on March 5, 1994; his children, Bruce (Kimberly) Oiler of Adelphi, Kerry (Ursula) Locke of CA, Danyelle Oiler (Bobby Dray) of Chillicothe, and Kyler Oiler, Lisa (Brian) Alspaugh and Sarah Smith (Tony Wood), all of WCH; grandchildren, Austin, Madison, and Lukas Oiler, Gabe and Cloie Fisher, Gavin and Sasha Locke, Darrian Ragland, Brayden, Kyland and Aerionna Howard, Isaiah Smith and Ian Wood; great-grandchildren, Caiah and David “Stiles” Hagler; siblings, Tom Oiler of New Martinsburg, Stan (Linda) Oiler and Debbie Oiler both of Greenfield; Father-in-law, Earl Stant of WCH; as well as, nephews, nieces, and a host of friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm Thursday, July 14, at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington CH with Pastor Jeremy Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
