Zanette Dawnyel Smith

Zanette Dawnyel Smith of Jeffersonville passed away on March 21, 2021 at Clinton Memorial Hospital at the age of 38.

Zanette was born on March 8, 1983 at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, NC to Micheal and Talea (Harter) Smith, Sr. Zanette was proud to receive her GED on January 28, 2005.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed coloring, listening to many types of music, traveling, cooking, photography, dancing and rescuing pets.

Along with her mother, Zanette was preceded in death by grandparents; Russel and Phyllis Harter, James and Florinza Smith; father of her daughter, Eloy Pacheco Vasquez; uncles and aunts; Darryll and Shelian Russell, Randy and Melody Maag, Bobiejo and Edna Harter, Marvin and Inale McRobie; Godson/nephew, Jonathon Smith, and father and mother-in-law, Larry Bowsher and Barbara Osborne.

She is survived by her father; her husband, Matthew Bowsher of Jeffersonville, whom she married November 19, 2016; daughter, Malea Jo Smith of Jeffersonville; sisters, Bobbie (Benjamin) Butcher, Tannya Bloender (Adam Lightle); brothers, Micheal Smith, Jr. (Andrea Montgomery), Phillip Smith; Godchildren, Hannah Smith-Reyes, Isaac Smith-Lopez; as well as, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and her many friends, including special friend Michael Martin.

A funeral is planned for Saturday, March 27 ^th at 1pm at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Lee officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11am until the start of service. Masks or facial coverings will be mandatory. Burial will follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. The family request donations to the funeral home to help with Zanette’s final expenses.
