OBITUARY FOR BEVERLY SUE “SUSIE Q” DAWSON

Beverly Sue “Susie Q” “Pebbles” Dawson, 81, of Washington C.H., OH, died at 3:35 A.M., Thursday, November 9. 2023 at Signature Healthcare.

She was born April 1, 1942, in Springfield, OH, a daughter of Frank Manbevers and Frances (Martindale) Starkey.

Beverly, a Washington C.H. High School Class of 1960 graduate. After graduation she attended beautician school. She worked at Thompsons Factory then later becoming a home maker. She was a member of the Night Owls Club and loved playing cards and games with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Ronald E. Dawson, whom she married September 15, 1963; children, Jeff (Kimberly) Dawson of Washington C. H., David Dawson of Greenfield, Tami (Greg Miller) Dawson of Washington C.H.; grandchildren, Tobin (Kylee) Dawson, Charles Austin Wayne (Chris) Smith, Kristina Dawson, Kennedy (Tori) Lamke, all of Washington, C.H., Harlee Snyder of Greenfield, and 7 great grandchildren.

Additional survivors include lifelong friends Judy Stillings of Washington Court House, and Mary Estle of Washington Court House.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and father, Charles R. Starkey, daughter Kami Dawson, an infant sister, an infant brother, brother Charles Terry Michael Starkey, and a sister Bonnie Blumenthal.

The family would also like to give a special thanks to her home health care group especially, Taylor Miller, Randy Taylor, Teresa Smith, Jessika Curtis, and Kylee Dawson.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 P.M., Thursday, November 16, 2023, in the Roberts Funeral Home 509 Washington Avenue, Washington C.H., OH 43160 with services beginning at 6:00 P.M. with Pastor Danny Dodds officiating.
