Cedric "Al" Alan Roberts

Cedric Alan “Al” Roberts, 85, of Washington Court House, Ohio, formerly of Mantua, passed away July 21, 2023, at the St Catherine’s Care Center.

Al was born September 4, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Cedric and Dorothy (Hendricks) Roberts.  He had proudly worked many years in the trucking industry in various management roles with P.I.E. Freightliner, Duff Truck Lines, OK Trucking, Hyman Freight-ways, and finally Cheeseman Trucking.  He also volunteered at Lima Memorial Hospital, Medina Hospital, and Fayette Memorial Hospital.

Along with his parents, Al was preceded in death by a grandson, Duren Roberts, and a brother, Douglas Roberts.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean (Horner) Roberts, whom he married October 12, 1963; children, Mark (Amanda) Roberts of MN, and David (Dawn) Roberts; grandchildren, Denver Fawcett, Daniel Roberts, and Chris Niedzielski; as well as his many friends.

Cremation will take place with a memorial service planned for Friday, August 4, 2023 at 4pm at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House, Ohio. A gathering of friends and family will take place for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Lima Memorial Hospital Auxiliary in Al’s memory.
