Colleen Yvonne (Stewart) Jaynes

    Colleen Yvonne (Stewart) Jaynes of Washington Court House went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 9, 2021 at the age of 84.

     Colleen was born September 19, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio. She was a member of Gahanna Lincoln High School Class of 1954. Before retirement, Colleen worked along side her husband helping manage Charles Jaynes Plumbing Company in Columbus. She was a former member of the Peace Lutheran Church. Colleen and Charles enjoyed boating on Lake Erie for many years, as a family activity. She was a supportive and encouraging mother, who was engaged with her daughters’ childhood activities, including dance, baton and gymnastics. Colleen was also a very proud and loving grandmother, who appreciated the art of spoiling her grandchildren.

     Colleen was preceded in death by her caring husband Charles in 2017 and loving mother Orpha in 2004. Left to cherish her memory are her brother Larry Stewart of Whitehall, OH, children, Tina Baker and her husband Rob of Burlington, NC and Tammy Brown and her husband Troy of WCH as well as her grandchildren, Lindsey Palumbo and her husband Phil of Chapel Hill, NC, Trenton Brown and Taylor Brown of WCH.

      In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service at Peace Lutheran Church in Gahanna will follow at a later date. Following the service, she will be reunited with her loving husband Charles in the Memorial Garden of Peace Lutheran Church. Roberts Funeral Home is caring for the family.
