Darrel Dean Mickle

Darrel Dean Mickle of Washington CH passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on May 17, 2022.

Darrel was born November 10, 1939, in Fayette County to the late Orville and Martha (Jinks) Mickle. He was a 1958 graduate of Bloomingburg High School. He served in the Ohio National Guard from 1957 to 1964. Darrel retired from Armco Steel with 42 years of service and had worked after as a maintenance person at Seton Senior Living for 16 years. He had also worked for many years farming with his father and later, his uncle. Darrel was a member of the Greenfield Church of Christ.

Along with his parents, Darrel was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly and his brothers, Raymond and Dale Mickle.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Marjorie Ann (Sowders) Mickle; his sons, Mike (Crystal) Mickle and Randy Mickle; grandchildren, Kerry (Beth) Mickle and Samuel Mickle; great grandchildren, Cameron Mickle and George Spellman; and his many friends.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at 4pm on June 9, 2022, at the Greenfield Church of Christ with Pastor Danny Dodds officiating.
