David Wayne Morris, age 62 of Washington Court House passed away at his home on August 11, 2022, with family at his side.
David was born September 23, 1959, in Fayette County, Ohio to the late Donald and Patsy (Hunt) Morris. He was a loving and dedicated husband and father. He helped his children with their different 4-H groups and projects, including Dusty’s hog projects with the Blue Ribbon Champs and Tabitha’s horse projects with the Rough Riders and her Welch Corgi in the Perfect Paws. David enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spent countless weekends racing dirt track cars at the old 35 Raceway. He spent most of his working life as a truck driver with periods at both Blair Trucking and JBH Trucking.
Survivors include his wife, the former Tonya Burnett, whom he married on November 9, 1983, their children, Dusty Morris of Washington Court House and Tabitha (Chessie) Ratliff of Sabina, grandchildren, Daniel, Annabelle, September, and Oakland Morris, and Otto and Gabriella Ratliff, a sister Brenda Morris-Ewers of Columbus, and his many friends.
A funeral service is planned for 12:30 pm om Thursday, August 18, 2022, at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Pastor Tom Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Bloomingburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am until the start of the service.
