Edna Downs
Obituary
Edna Downs of Columbus, formerly of Washington Court House, passed away on January 1, 2023, at the Riverview Health and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 85.
Edna was born March 7, 1937, in Fayette County to the late William and Thelma (Forsythe) Downs. She had worked many years as a data Entry Specialist. She was an avid reader and loved watching investigation and crime dramas. Edna was an excellent baker and was known for her delicious desserts.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings.
Survivors include her son David William (January) Downs; grandson, Sebastian David (Sara) Downs; nieces, Barbara (Richard) Fisher and Cathy (Roger) Wood; nephew, Bill Watson; and special friends, Heidi (John) Quelette and Bill (Randy) Von Schriltz.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 11am to 1pm at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House. A graveside service will follow at 1:30pm with Pastor Keith Clary in the Good Hope Cemetery.
