James Kenneth Havens, Sr., 77, of Washington CH passed away on January 21, 2019 with his family by his side.
Jim was born on August 12, 1941 in Pike County to the late Milton and Mary (Hayes) Havens but had lived most of his life in this area. Jim was a proud US Navy Veteran. HE was a member at the local VFW post 3762 and the American Legion Post 25.
Along with his parents, Jim was preceded in death by brothers, Okie, Bill and Johnny Havens, and sisters, Annie Schilling, Betty Wilson, Dorothy Starr and Beatrice McNutt, as well as a daughter-in-laws, Connie and Tammy Havens.
He is survived by his sons; James K Havens Jr., Jody (Michele) Havens, Jerry (Lora) Havens and Jason (Valerie) Havens; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol (John) Forsythe, Diana (Roger) Satchell, and Barbara Riggs; and brother, Bob (Joan) Havens; as well as, many friends and a special caregiver, Toni Estep.
A funeral service is planned on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 11am at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Clary officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Washington Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 27th from 4-7pm.
